Notes

Earlier pressing can be found here.

This 1997 pressing can be identified by the L 49897 etchings in the runout area.

Track A1 Based around the scat vocal sample "Dit To Do Dat"

Track A2 Based around the vocal sample "There Are People, There is Movement" over an old Public Enemy beat. Then Switches gears, to the vocal sample "Can You Feel It" over a wailing siren sample.

Track B1 [aka Dirty Crystal] starts with 303 lines over a breakbeat then drifts it's way along to using the vocal sample "I look at the Sky, I See Your Face". This track also heavily samples "Duran Duran - Decadance (extended mix)" which was a B-Side to the 12" and CD single "Burning The Ground".

Track B2 starts out with an sampled stand up bass line over a jazz beat. Uses the vocal sample "Round n' Round" from the Jungle Brothers track "I'll House You".

Processed At - Greg Lee Processing (based on the L-00000 / L-00000-X type Matrix / Runout etchings. Even though Processing (Plating/Metalwork) comes AFTER mastering & lacquer cutting, this has been added to the 'Label, Company, Catalog Number, etc' section under 'Mastered At' as instructed by nik here).

In my opinion, the most consistent and time-tested Bassbin release. All tracks are dancefloor killers, and all are good.

Mixability is so-so, there are some slight pitch changes that need to be watched out for. But I've witnessed empty dancefloors filled by playing any one of these four tracks. Horns, breaks to house to breaks switches, quirky sounds, fun but not cheesy samples. This EP has the full Bassbin sound without being too rare - certainly worth the money.
