I think this is one of the BEST album covers in rock music. The bland shot they forced the fabs to go with instead is one of the "worst album covers" for just that reason.

I have a sealed copy of this lp which is labeled as T2553. I suspect it is a reproduction or later release. How can I tell for certain?

I disagree with those who say the "Yesterday & Today" (butcher cover) LP doesn't cut it as far as a collectable piece. If you don't want one, don't buy one. I never even knew about it at the time (1966). I bought the "Trunk Cover Yesterday & Today" when it came out. It was (is) a great album. The sound quality on some of the "Revolver" tracks is not great, but at the time, I didn't care. It's a great LP. Very "Modern" sounding in 1966. Backwards guitar, harmony guitar, etc. were all done prior to Hendrix, Wishbone Ash, Yardbirds, etc. So, in closing I say to all the "collectors" if you don't want, don't buy it. Period!

I've never understood why People will pay a lot of Money for this piece of cardboard. The american releases are crap anyway, just some songs from different periods thrown together. Like this ones got Help, Rubber Soul and Revolver on it. There are lots of great Beatles collectors item, but this is not one of them.

I note that thirteen people claim here to own a sealed first state Butcher Cover and I do not believe there are that many known to exist. The copy in the photo is sealed and I still question who supposedly held one in their hands to make this submission.
