While the vinyl doesn't look like the promo pics I have to be honest I don't care as long as the vinyl sounds good. It does. This is one of the quietest pressings I have bought. No surface noise at all. Not a pop or a crackle. The music itself sounds brilliant as well.

I'm happy enough with the cover and the vinyl. Do these things ever look as nice as the promo pics?

What's more important to me is that it's a double-vinyl pressing. The original LP was one of 4AD's worst pressings, thanks to trying cram 25-plus minutes of music per side. This version sounds much better!

I added some photos of my copy to this release, and though I'm disappointed in the stark difference of the promotional images versus the actual product, it's still a nice release...

From 4AD - With coloured vinyl (and especially marbled vinyl) there's different shades that may appear within the production process and the image on the 4ad site is just for illustrative purposes.

There you go.

Lovely set though this is, the vinyl itself looks absolutely nothing like the promotional pictures whatsoever. Disc 1 is white with the barest tinge of blue, and Disc 2 looks like it has been through the wash with a red sock. Still a really nice collection, but anyone looking for the records pictured may be slightly disappointed.
