Exceptional two tracker from the heavy hitter Ben Sims. Fits like hand in glove with the deep and dubbed out vibes Mosaic is know for. Both tunes are glorious manfiests of production finesse, perfect timing and exceptional groove. The reverbed vocal bits are as hazy as evocative. What you have here is basically a dub techno excursion laced with a more conventional big room techno touch the maker is widely known for.
The tracks are anchored by bass heavy beats, but are drenched in echo, fog, hiss and drugged out samples. Mid life dubs or late night killers. The production vaults are sky high so is the entire package.
This is, in my opinion, one of Sims' most inspired moments ever, and given the fact he's usually either into disco edits these days or focusing on his Ron Bacardi alias, this was a well served surprise from someone who is known for his peak time artillery tool-y approach to techno.
The replay value this 12" is great, and it has suited many a occasions and moods at my place. As such, I can hardly stress out how good this really is. Own it.
