A1: Techno. Fairly run of the mill but being Berkovi it's not entirely without merit. The Miss Kitten gimick is used to decent effect. With the vocal and subtlety in the synths there's enough to elevate it from tool status. [SEVEN]
A2: Lanquid Electro. Could almost be a Plaid release. Full dark synth lead and excellent vocal contribution from Ava X to the usually mithersome Miss Kitten, but like the A1 it works here. [TEN]
B1: Full on loopy Techno. Miss Kitten gimmick merely exists in the intro until loops bash in though are used to better effect further on. Berkovi's dark synth chords replace the loops after the first third and the reason I love his work. Loops are reprised for final third to finish off a fine cut. Some engineering shortages stop top marks. [TEN]
B2: Dark Techno/Electro. Similar template to the B1. Miss Kitten talks in french throughout this one definitely being a positive addition. Berkovi adds his subtle chordwork. Beats are more electro in sound. Maybe a bit short on progression for the podium postition but it sounds like a grower. [NINE]

first off, what's up with the hype in the release notes?
this is a exceptionally weak release for berkovi, who really hasn't been himself in terms of quality control, at least since "you're so alien". miss kittins boring vocals don't really amend anything, this is a piss poor attempt at cashing in on the hype that sorround(ed) the two at the time, who knows if it paid off, I sure hope it didn't.

Miss Kittin is the unstoppable voice that everyone wants a piece of - here she teams up with Justin Berkovi with amazing results! From the menacing 808 electro of 'Il Est Disparu' to the rolling Detroit heavy 'Running Man' and the deep tech-house groove of 'My Voice', this excellent EP moves from the dancefloor into the head in a unique and refreshing twist for both protagonists!.
