Notes

From the Bernard Herrmann score, "The Night Digger".

Cover says "Conducted by Hans Rossback". However, a conductor "Hans Rossback" or "Hans Rossbach" does not exist. Obviously this was written on the cover to give the impression that this is a re-recording done in Germany and to hide the true origins of this record. However, this LP was in fact a US pressing, conducted by Bernard Herrmann himself. See also the remarks by Alfons Kowalski regarding this matter.

The Youtube recording of the Currier and Ives Suite is not the Herrmann conducted version on this Cinema LP!!! It is a contemporary re-recording by Sederes on the Koch label. The original recording featured on the Cinema record is probably a CBS Radio aircheck conducted by Herrmann, and in my opinion one of the best Bernard Herrmann compositions/recordings ever!

Again: A conductor Hans Rossbach doesn't/didn't exist. This is a 1974 bootleg (as all Cinema Record Releases), appearantly released in Germany. The Music is from the original Studio tapes and conducted by the Composer Bernard Herrmann. When will that "Hans Rossbach" misleading credit finally end - I suppose never...
