Possibly one of the finest 'Desert Rock' albums ever recorded, that's NOT from the desert proper. (They also have one of the most clever and amazing band names too). On this album these dudes manage to steer clear of the common temptations of driving down the well worn paths of blatant 'Stoner Rock' and 'Psychedelic Rock', instead they knock out song after song of straight-forward good/great Desert Rock, with great 1990s leaning Alt Rock and Grunge, and some 1970s Classic Rock. I'm not going to review song-by-song, because although "Passive Aggressive" heads a bit towards the whimsical and slacker stylings of, say, Weezer (?); all the other tunes stay on the groovin' rockin' track. If Soundgarden, The Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stone Age got lucky and had a really cool man-baby, this album would be it! Dare I even say "radio-friendly"?
