Nice sound quality - I've compaired the sound on this reissue with the original record and the result is nice. Good work.

George Horn did an excellent and gentle remastering job on this reissue. Compared to the original, there's a touch more bass, the closed hi-hats are much more in the foreground and are more dynamic, and the A-side's outro is less loud. Everything is just as crisp as before; no clipping, no distortion.

For now, the 12" is still in stock at the label's website, so you can get it for a fair price, only $15 with shipping within the U.S. The informative insert with photos and a message from Ricky Persi is a nice addition, and I was surprised at the high-quality poly inner sleeve, so it's a great value.

The record does come shrink-wrapped, which is a reason for a nitpicky complaint: the outer sleeve isn't stiff enough to withstand the shrink-wrap without crimping a little, so although it was otherwise well-packed, my copy arrived with some very minor creasing on the corners and edges. Also, the vinyl quality is not bad, but not great, either, with a bit more background noise than I'd expect on a modern pressing.

But the music is by far what's most important, and you can't beat the price for a clean vinyl copy of this moody gem. By this time next year, it'll probably cost twice as much!
