I wonder if it isn't a soundboard recording - the bootleg I heard had loud audience chatter throughout. it's still audible in this but in no way as obtrusive and exactly as you would expect it to be at such a small venue.

Not exactly sure what folks were expecting: it’s a vinyl pressing of the much beloved bootleg. Is it for casual fans..nope, but as a document of that era for more hardcore fans, it’s nice to have it on vinyl. If you’re looking for a polished/produced live R.E.M. lp, this isn’t it.

Sourced from a bootleg. It’s an audience recording. Same as the bootleg I bought on CD back in 91. Not a soundboard recording. Very disappointing.

I got a manufacturing error in my set. Disc 1, sides A/B are Bingo Hand Job. However, Disc 2, sides C/D was replaced by Greta Van Fleet. How do I get this fixed?

It's okay. Not much different than the 1991 MTV Unplugged record, which was recorded with better equipment. I'd recommend this to serious R.E.M. fans and collectors. I collect R.E.M records, so I wanted this for my collection. If you're a casual fan or not an R.E.M. collector, you're probably better off going with the unplugged album. It sounds better.
