A very good ambient recording from Biosphere. Nothing like I've ever heard, at least not while awake.
Not for everyone. But for the ones who likes it, I would suggest in twenty years tlme you'll play and treasure it still.

Despite the legendary status Substrata has, Departed Glories is for me Biosphere's most fine work, a very special album nobody else could have possibly done. Heavily treated samples of Eastern European folk music, a modern abstract interpretation of the songs that could have comforted a certain medieval queen who had hidden from invaders in the forests of Poland during her dark moments of hidding. The feeling you get from this album is analogous to the feeling that runs your spine when you stare at the eyes of the lady in the artwork. Beautiful and disturbing at the same time.

Best Ambient Album in a while.
Serious Mysticism....the Story behind it (musick for a nun hiding in the woods. ..Short version), sums it up.
This is so good!!!
Get it, no matter which colour, format....
