I agree. Your beat is correct.

I am probably too attached to this track to comment but too attached to this track not too. I am in need of much more more drone-time even though I love it more than any thing in the world at this moment and heard Birchville Cat Motel for the first time two years ago. (This could be a dilletant-ish spiel with more than a little superlative laden enthusiasm) I'm listening to it now for the second time straight, and altogether for the fifth time.

Well, here goes:

Constantly and gut-wrenchingly becoming. Two emerging, clashing drones are somehow brought into one as a melody with the imperceptible plod of Death and the tensity of Sisyphus mushroom-bursts in Koyaaniskatsi-like slow motion. Somehow perennial and fixed yet a unity of a multiple of multiples. Beauty hurts.

This 40 minute excursion into the depths of Birchville Cat Motel starts off with a simple drone. Over time, the layers of complexity that are added reveal a great insight into the appreciation of noise and drone instead of the overbearing distortion that many producers fall victim to. About halfway through, a washed out melody starts to poke through and really drives the whole piece to the next level. A truly spine tingling and awe inspiring work that rewards those who listen (and pay attention) to it in its entirety.
