A lovely album.

A KEY track for me is Triumph of a Heart. Some sections of the song have weird noises, all jiving and grooving (and all still created by human voice, collected from voice specialists all over the world); these sections make you laugh with pure joy because of their deliberate alieneity (!).

Humour is a key element to Bjork's expression and Triumph of a Heart is a good example of it. This is very unusual in music - to make you gut-laugh so spontaneously: not because of the lyrics, but the very SOUND (Ligeti is another example of this). Yet humour is a fundamental aspect of being human, so full credit to Bjork for presenting an abundance of humour through her sound-art.

This isn't an in depth review, but I've read that some are reporting that there is an EQ issue (at least with the 33rpm version), but I'd like to confirm that the sound on this 45 rpm version is quite fantastic and a joy to listen to.

I've not heard the 33rpm versions but would assume that the sound would be eq'd lower due to the format limitation and should therefore be quieter than this so I'm surprised that there are reports of a distorted sound. I'd like to give that edition a spin to rule out the possibility of the aforementioned review being affected by poor equipment.
