Good. I was surprised at this record. It had more energy than any of the rock I had listened to in years. The only weak point were the lyrics. They mostly pass scrutiny since the songs were strong music wise but I thought the lyrics generally didn't say a great deal of anything one way or the other. The best song here-Cold-I think it was called, sounded like a comment about someone not grieving after someone passes which the lyrics seem to say is "cold." I didn't get a sense of it being person specific which left me with the feeling you get driving late at night in a taxi seeing city lights but not really feeling anything specific about that other than getting a sense of the largeness and impersonal coldness of todays cities. Other than the fact the Jason Bonham that appeared in the photos of the version of Zep that played in the 02 show in England a few years back not looking like the same Jason Bonham that was in Black Country Communion I have no other thoughts on BCC. The band apparently had disbanded in 2013 but apparently have an new EP out this year (2016) which I could find no photos of on the web. There really isn't much in the way of new rock these days.....Jason Bonham reportedly formed another band called California Breed which did a record in 2014. I think he should have stuck with this project but thats just one persons opinion.
