Real epic Sabbath sound!
Before producer Ernie C. ruined Forbidden by his producing drummer Cozy Powell made this copy of album (without voice of Tony Martin) for himself. So it's half-done album with only instrumental versions of the songs and it sounds great. Heavy, epic, impressive riffs. The album in the same time is dark and positive, aggressive and melodic. Probably it could be one of their best. Record is nicely restored from original compact cassete and CD is quite listenable (some bonuses on officilal Sabbath remasters are of much worst quality). By the way it gives you a chance to cast a new glance at Forbidden. Ernie C made sound atmospheric and blurred (and in this sence he produced one the most original Sabbath record) but if you are listening official release after this rough mix - you are starting to understand what musicians really wanted to say with this record.
Tony Iommi swore that he will release officially remixed version of Forbidden but it seems that it's a long affair of distant future.
It's factory pressed CD.
If you like Forbidden - you'll like it more. If you don't like - give it a second chance and listen to rough mix.
