blackway - new life sounds acceptable, the blackway - music for us sounds terribly distorted,
in this case sign of a vinyl rip (when a de-esser that is always essential in that case
[to avoid distortions get pressed again and cause "double distortion", not only in the vocals], was left out),
in case it is not a vinyl rip, i do not understand the bad quality.

decadance is not THAT bad, but still not good, have the original and compared, kick drums are cut
(happens mostly when a de-crackler / de-noiser was used wrong).

what all these reissues have in common, they sound undetailed, with unprecise high-frequencies (typical vinyl distortion,
another sign they are vinyl rips, correct me if i'm wrong, but they deffo sound as they were ripped from a record that was played hundreds of times).

same thing with the recent lectric workers reissue:
example: the "acid'ish" sequence in the middle of the track, on the original it sounds fine and precise,
on the reissue totally distorted.

what almost all reissues and bootlegs of the italo genre unfortunately have in common, is the lack of some stereo panorama
the originals mostly have, the reissues does not sound that full/rich and wide.

Despite reading the bad reviews of the Decadance repress I still ended up buying this from Juno! (c. $35 inc. shipping) ... and its arguably the worst pressed record I own! ... Going to see if Juno offer refunds for this kind of thing, I appreciate that it isn't Juno's fault - but I can't see the label doing a recall? Given that AFM will also reissue Mr. Master, Kroma, BWH etc. this is a sad situation ...

Both Blackway records will be repressed by AFM. Their recent re-pressing of Decadance's On & On got terrible reviews of discogs …what do the Blackway represses sound like? (I bought a mint OG of 'On & On' in LA's Amoeba last year for $100 … which I still think of as a 'bargain'!)

Also are these pressings bootlegs? Remastered from vinyl/original tapes? Any info appreciated as they still cost $30+ to buy and ship to USA.

A hypnotic and seductive slow motion groove led along by one of Italo Disco's most swooningly understated yet affecting vocal performances. If ever there's been a record crying out for a proper reissue it's this one.
