There are two different versions of this album. On early pressings, "The Ballad of Irving" includes the line "He came from the old Bar Mitzvah spread, with a ten-gallon yarmulke on his head." When Kapp Records decided to release the track as a single, they felt the joke was "too Jewish," and had Frank Gallop re-record it as "...schlepping a salami and pumpernickel bread." The single version was substituted for the original on subsequent pressings. As far as I know, there is no way to tell which version is on a given LP copy other than by playing it.
