Bobby Darin’s “That’s All” was his first big hit in the musical industry. The album was gilded with a Grammy Award for Best Album of the Year. Overall, “That’s All” revolutionized Big Band Jazz as a whole. Darin renewed a graying genre with youth and vigor never seen before. Songs like “Mack the Knife” and “Beyond the Sea” are unforgettable, and are bookmarks in American Jazz and musical history. “That’s All” is wonderfully composed, with songs ranging from jumping and lively tones, to slow, easy-listening pieces. This LP is only the introduction to Bobby Darin’s short, yet fruitful productive life, and is a must-have for any self proclaimed Jazz aficionado or die-hard Darin fan.
