It took me a little while to get into this album, but now Id rate it as one of the finest from his '70s output. The highlight for me is "Even Later", which I'm beginning to think is possibly the finest piece of music he wrote. I know this guy is known for his haunting, beautiful and sometimes complex melodies, but "Even Later" is just so delicate in it's beauty that it almost takes your breath away, and at the moment I can't think of anything else he wrote that impresses me this much. Apart from the title track "Cirrus" this is a magical album, but not immediately, it's one of those that suddenly creeps up on you on after a few listens and it's like how did I not hear how good this was earlier.
