Well arranged, played and produced (Artie Butler/Dallas Smith.) Lots of aural pleasures with chimes, glockenspiel and plenty of cool percussion. A solid although a bit obvious group of song choices, with a solid backing band/orchestra and beautiful engineering. Sounds like the Wrecking Crew. The feel is more soulful David Gates or less twee Curt Boettcher. Frankly I prefer Bobby Vee to either. I can listen to this several times in a row just for the quality of his voice and the effort he puts into this album. Not that I know alot of the back story, but the music speaks for itself.
