Packaging is absolutely beautiful. Quality of the pressing seems to be absolutely spot on also, very little surface noise.

Really happy with this record.

I never expected a GZ media pressing to be this mesmerizing... I'm shocked and extremely happy / this is one hell of dead quiet, dynamic and breathy LP. My copy is free from pops, clicks & surface noise.

Plus the packaging is just beautiful: thick gatefold cover housed in a slipcase... the cover contains a booklet, picture sleeve carrying the record and a download card.

I'm really happy with my copy, Bon Iver did an amazing work on this album and on its pressing!

About half the tracks on my copy have a significant amount of pops and static that I don't experience on my other albums. Very noticeable on the quieter tracks. I've tried washing with water and diluted dish soap but that hasn't helped. Rega RP1.

I ended up with 3 copies.. 1 from Pre-order, and 2 as gifts, 1 from record store in Austin, TX & the other from Los Angeles.. Quality control is incredible, they all sound flawless and this record is just insane already, but opened up on vinyl and you're in for a Sonic revelation.. The mastering is perfect, vinyl perfect, what a masterpiece. All 3 were perfect I checked so I can now gift these other 2 out to some friends who need a soul cleansing via a whole new wonderland to explore only J Vernon, BJ Burton and co could conjure up.. It doesn't get any better than this squad right here.. BJ Burton also produced the new Low album, DOUBLE NEGATIVE.. If you really want to push your Sonic palette to the limit and experience things never been done in music, check that out as well. I love that these guys are pushing things to the next realm and never settling for the same.

So on my first two plays through, side A had crazy surface noise. Out of desperation I washed it with water, and suddenly it's whisper quiet. I can't remember another time that washing a new record has actually worked, but now I'm very happy with this pressing. It's sounding great.

So after picking up Bon Iver, Bon Iver and remembering how awful it sounded on the black stuff I felt a little uneasy when I opened this up, checked the matrix and saw it was a GZ Media press. However, needn’t have worried. Mastering by Greg Calbi, and it shows. Sounds much better than expected. You might get the odd few pressings that sound full of Rice Krispies given GZ’s previous track record for quality control sure - and hand on heart this isn’t dead, dead quiet - but the soundstage and depth on this thing more than make up for it, and the packaging with the outer plastic cover and booklet’s class. I(,I) for one am more than happy with this.
