A friend informed me that this would be released on RSD a couple of days before RSD. I made it my priority to find a place that had a good quantity because I simply had to have it. Plaid Room in Cincinnati had 38 copies! I waited in line for 4.5 hours and watched the stock dwindle to 16 before I got mine. It's rare for me to get all jittery about a release but this one had me all worked up! I've been after a copy since it came out and sold 6 million copies. It's a masterpiece and the dynamic range of this version blows me away! I had goosebumps when the intro faded into the first track. The bass is perfect. No hissing. No popping. It would be cruel not to do a wide release but that could be the case. They've pretty much made the ebay rounds easily clearing $100 a piece by the flippers. I reacquainted myself with the music and I found things in there that I never noticed before. The production and orchestration is truly exceptional. I hope everyone gets a chance to spin this double LP. Artwork or none, it's simply essential.
Since they are numbered, I have to wonder who out there got copies number 187 and 1999.

This really is a good pressing, I must admit that I was excited and probably turned it up a bit too loud when I first got it though as the lady next door started hammering on the wall and yelling for it to be turned down which I did but by then it was too late, she told my mam the next time she saw her in the front garden and now my mam has confiscated the album :-(

Blown away by how good this sounds. It's so full, very rich dynamics. Great pressing. I'm from Northeast Ohio and knew I had to have this, even if it meant getting in line at 5am on RSD.

Anyone can explain the decision behind that boring plain white sleeve? Very dissapointed!

So the 1995 version is somehow unofficial? Confused by the claim first official realest... nevertheless I snagged the last copy and can’t wait to spin this!

For new people, if you wait like a month the resell prices will dip by like 50% at the very least. A lot of people buy the rare shit and then don't actually have that much money left so they try and get quick money by lowering their prices repeatedly until it sells.
