Like the other reviewers thus far, I think this LP is a bit unfairly maligned simply because it is so ubiquitous. OK, there's some fairly average pop on here & it's never gonna have the credibility of a Walter Gibbons remix or whatever, but I especially still adore the first two tracks, which are 'mixed' in a way that wasn't exactly common on albums of the time. "Nightflight" you could imagine turning up on something like Morgan Geist's "Unclassics" (complete with the groovy phasing on the drums) if it wasn't so well known & "Rasputin" is lyrically far & above a lot of disco fluff. They also had some nice choices of cover in the likes of "Rivers Of Babylon" & "Heart Of Gold". If you've never heard the whole thing, definitely spend that 50p next time you see it in a charity shop...In fact, I'd go as far as £1 if need be!

Like flaxfury said, but put in a different way -'one man's bric-a-brac is another man's disco' (that probably makes no sense!!)
OTT outfits etc., but check out the breaks - very well produced, and if you know how to drop it; well, a disco-spastic reaction evertime!!
Budgets, and therefore some production standards have slipped over the years - but if you dig around your local salvation army or dj rare groove vinyl store (!), you'll be well rewarded for making the effort for taking a chance or two in the global hits disco section!

Night flight to Venus - This album is a classic, which has stood the test of time. The cover sleeve is fabulous, over the top and unbelievable. This record stands the test of time. I recently purchased a copy of this from a bric a brac shop, it was literally going for a 'song'. Further along another shop was selling it as a collectors item. Whatever, it's staying in my collection indefinitely.
