It seems I wasn't the only one who initially played it at 33 RPM, haha. I do think it's better at 45, though I can see why people would prefer 33. Great album nonetheless.

As other people have stated, it's much better played at 33 RPM than the intended 45 RPM. At 33 it reminds me of Ambient 4 and Apollo. At 45 it sounds pretty lame. Highly recommended at 33.

Great music and nice cut: now sounds really good to me after a 'Disco' wash. And yes, played at 33 instead of 45 (I didn't read the labels until today or never listened to the digital version before) obviously makes it much more profound and spacy to me! A wonderful analog accident... so probably the best version as far as I'm concerned!

Instead of the intended 44 rpm, try spinning the record at 33 rpm. It sounds fantastic, I might even prefer it to be played that way. I wouldn't be surprised at all Eno decided to have it run at 45 rpm just so people could do this.

Side A and B noisy and crackly - C and D also not perfect. Anyone else had this problem?

Nothing groundbreaking and a little more reverb than I'd have liked but a great LP and a great addition to his ambient works. A bit darker than Discreet music and with far less variation than the Ambient series. Very quiet pressing.
