Housed in a Stoughton deluxe old style tip-on gatefold jacket with satin finish

Pressed on 180 gram Classic Black vinyl, Toxic Blue Haze vinyl (to mimic the toxic chemical used to spray the fields in the film), and 100% Yellow vinyl (to mimic the toxic poison sprayed to kill the invading ants in the film)

Includes 12 page booklet featuring unreleased archival photography, production stills, conceptual art, and Saul Bass's proposed PHASE IV track listing to Paramount Pictures executives from 1974.
Hype sticker on shrink wrap.

To my ears, it's not so much the pressing that's frustrating (mine is yellow, plays fine, not crackly) as the fact that it's MONO. While I haven't yet seen the film, this sounds like clean score and not like the music & effects that plague many unofficial soundtrack releases. It's a nicely produced/packaged release (very nice artwork & design) and will probably have to do until a full-frontal stereo release materializes.

Just got my copy. Wish I saw the comments before I ordered it. Dreadfully crackly and noisy. Takes away from this awesome score

I have the yellow version and was surprised that it played very quiet. Must have gotten a good one.

Horrible sound quality. First side is completely distorted, even.
