A surprisingly underrated ep. Mark Petrick and Dara Lee are both well known innovators in Goa trance, creating original and experimental works that have proven influential. Together these two aural magicians conjure up some serious spooky atmosphere. "Costa del Goa" is oddly named as it features industrial rhythms with great snare work and ripping, snarling leads - I see a demonic warehouse and not Chapora fort or Anjuna beach when I listen to it. "Devil's Dyke" on the other hand, as the sample suggests, summons a ghostly wreck through swirling mist and features clanky, twinkling sounds building to a massive minor key melody, presumably the dyke of the title. Moody voodoo from the masters. ~*~
