Radar was one of the standout tracks from the studio album Blackout. It recieved a high amount of airplay in Ireland and europe, charting on airplay alone in several countries. It was scheduled to be released as the forth single from Blackout, but due to britneys declining health, and reports that her next album was near completion, the release was cancelled.

Promotional pressing of the cd were sent out to media and television in the USA and at that time a video was never made, It is known that an attempt to recall these promos took place.

As the record company had agreed to release the track for its producers Bloodshy & Avant ( the clutch ), the track was included on the next album Circus as a bonus track.

Due to the songs continuing popularity and the promise of its release as a single, the song became the forth single to be released from the Circus album.

A new cover for the single was produced, thus making the Radar US promo for 07's blackout album , more collectable and desireable to any britney fan.

Shortly after announcing the release of Radar as the forth single from circus, the physical release of the CD was cancelled world wide and again became available only on promo cd format, until of course it was included in the Singles collection boxset.
