"There are albums that look like they're going to be terrible, but then turn out to be hidden gems. BROKEN DOWN's debut release, "First Spit", is definitely one of them. (...) blend different musical ideas together to make something new, and I've got to admit it… they've definitely succeeded. (...) The vocal line from a Dance Pop classic in the middle of a Metal track elevates this track from "just another song" to borderline genius. (...) Normally, this would not be my kind of thing, but this is definitely an exception. I loved listening to this, and I highly recommend that you give this a listen at least once." 8/10 (metal-temple.com)

"interesting take on metal even half way (...) innovative mixture of styles." 7/10 (metalliville)

"is it a hidden temptation poisoning the listeners’ mind? Really, I have no idea… (...) Each piece is a totally weird expression of sonic Anti-Art. The solo-outfit draws its influences from tens of different styles, mingling them into a mad experience. And after having listened to this EP, you won’t forget it (...) I can’t say I ‘like’ it, but I surely enjoyed the stuff. " 68/100 (concreteweb.be)
