This Record was not only one of the early UK-European Electro Rap Records (1984) by Greg Wilson, Justin '84 & Morgan Khan (Street Sounds) but was also used 20 Years later (2004) for the Song "Girls" from the english electronic & breakbeat music group: The Prodigy.
The Original Song "Style of the Street" became famous through the Street Sounds Electro Series. The Rappers on this tune where B-Boys with Jamaican Roots as you can hear on the Recording.

Did Broken Glass bite the opening rhyme on this record?

I think they might have done - the opening rhyme about being at home watching telly, bored, and imagining being on tour and getting girls is very similar to a rhyme on Funky Four + 1 'That's The Joint' which was released on Sugarhill in 1980. There are slight variations between the two rhymes, but lyrics can't be reproduced here so you'll have to check the two tunes to see what I mean!!
