IMO one of the best unheard of British rap albums of the 90s. After a few years of Shylock finding his style and Underdog never missing a beat with the beats on almost every Brotherhood release or 12", they have persued a newer form here as every song is somewhat slowed to a more ambient and murkier sound similar to Temples of boom era Cypress Hill on this album,With the addition of London based Ragga MC Mr. Spyce, he compliments the more intelligent style of Mr. Shylock, with the best part of the album been the lyrics: which are very laced with british pop culture references and to british bands, to which a foreign ear may come off as confusing but just add to the experience. The group would later drop Underdog from the line up after this release and came out with the more relaxed sounding "Dungeon Town" which sadly was the end of The Brotherhood troupe after a good couple of strong years. Own this album if you have a interest in any of the above i likened Brotherhood to. you won't be disappointed.

Seminal UK Hip Hop Here. Underdogs production is amazing and Spyce and Shylock compliment each other perfectly on the rhymes. Not forgetting Dexter on the cuts. THis stood up as good as anything coming out of the US at the same time, Shame they didnt't go and do much else. Wouldlike to know what they are up to now, I still see Dexter around Holloway so he must still be local :)
