Brutal Truth manages to pull off the perfect grindcore album. Their form is a particularly crusty and dirty one whose lyrics are actually thoughtful and interesting. The music is bass-heavy and the operator of said instrument puts in some menacingly low backup growls which play very well of the higher pitched screams of the primary vocalist. The drummer is freaking insane. Go see them live and you'll see what I mean. Mindblowingly fast. They don't really appeal to the highly technically-minded metal fan, but I think they miss the point. This is more punk than Yngwie. To that end, I would easily rank this among Napalm Death's earliest works and perhaps due to excellent production, even call it better.
