I am big fan of the version above (with the orginal bob marley vocal sped up). This is the one I remember hearing on pirate radio and everywhere around London that summer.
The VIP with Giddy Ranks might only exist due to legal issues.

Right, if you are thinking of buying this because you remember ‘Shining’ from the ‘Jungle Massive’ compilation be very careful. There is a minor yet fundamental change that is the difference between it being a great track, and an annoying one - that difference lies in the “Sun Is Shining” sample.

In the ‘VIP’ mix from the Jungle Massive compilation the sample is drawn out and sits perfectly with the lazy warm strings of the intro, inviting images of kicking back on a hazy summers evening with a cold alcoholic beverage in hand. On this release however, the sample is inexplicably sped up to double time which not only sounds out of place, but also completely out of time. Suddenly your warm relaxing summer’s evening has been invaded by a wasp that hovers menacingly around your beverage and refuses to fuck off.

Do yourself a favour and wait to buy the 2xLP version of ‘Jungle Massive Collective 1’. With only two tracks per side, it has a lovely loud pressing of ‘Shining’ without the irritating sample ;)
