My album is dead quiet. Loved this album as a kid and glad to have a NM copy of this qualityreferencing The Age Of Plastic (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Clear, 140g, Gatefold) LETV500LP
Good packaging and sound quality seems fine to me , high freq a little roll off but overall its great .vinyl came slightly warp but still playable. Beautiful clear vinyl . A nice collector record and lovely tracks .referencing The Age Of Plastic (CD, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Limited Edition, Paper Sleeve, SHM-CD) UICY-94425
This SHMCD edition has excellent sound quality- the soundstage is wide and deep. The imaging is terrific.- Not surprisingly, this album is mixed immaculately by Trevor Horn and this pressing takes full advantage of the source material. Horn’s bass sounds especially great, but all the colors provided by Downes’s synths also stand out. Great pressing.

Incredible album, though not the greatest SQ. Artwork is solid.- Edited one year ago

This record sounds so good, warm pulsing loveliness coming out of the speakers, first class production at work. A great example of how great vinyl can be.....actually why can't it all be this good? Fantastic music too. Hard to categorise (but that's not a bad thing), but once my needle plops down on the plastic I get totally immersed in it and by the time the arm retreats back at the end of side two I am grinning like a loon. Great pressing. - Just like the 2010 'remaster' of Adventures In Modern Recording, this too is incomplete. The b-sides are included, but the alternate mixes of Video Killed The Radio Star and the extended version of Clean, Clean are not to be found. Regarding sound quality, it seems to be hit and miss - the mix sounds 'fat', but there are multiple instances where the tape drops out in one channel (see I Love You Miss Robot for instance), whereas on the original CD's, this didn't happen. The artwork is also quite poorly sourced - again, earlier CD's had better clarity. Hopefully this gets a reappraisal along with the second album.
