I think they are solid powerful revisits of past songs, with the new vocal style of older varg and improved musicianship. The bleak cold lofi sound that was present back in the 90's isn't there, it's a much warmer sound, but not to much to ruin the bleak feel. over all another great work from varg, although i still prefer the originals but still great work.

Revisiting the past is a dangerous game. The songs are of course very good - they are Burzum! Varg may re-record these songs 100 times - and 100 times they will be pleasant at hearing - but pointless as releases, as well.
