When they originally recorded this they were, in fact, calling themselves "Spoke." It was originally released on cassette in Tucson (I still have my copy), then about a year later European label Hausmusik put it out on vinyl, followed a year later on CD via Quarterstick.

Although they've made some fine recordings in later years, Spoke, along with a few other choice early releases The Black Light, Aerocalexico, and Travellall, are still tops in my book, as they most directly and effectively embody the primal, distilled Sonoran essence of Calexico.
