Its absolutely sublime. The trumpet and indeed the entire range are superbly separated not only in the stereo field, but also in frequency. The one thing I cant stand jazz mixing / mastering is a lack of definition in the bass or indeed every element. It's make or break, but anyway, whoever miked up the double bass deserves major credit. Also, the hi-hats literally sizzle on the second track, with the sax so well eq'd that its in there the room with you. Music Matters have landed a great result here; it's an impeccable release. I just need to find more!

This Music Matters 33 rpm sounds absolutely sublime: 5 stars.
Not part of the 75th lp reissue ...which are digitally sourced.

This is the best sounding version of this album that I've ever heard.
