Very, very influential record for me. So many tunes I find myself listening to years after I heard this was released. And give some credit to Carl Cox, a true grandmaster of electronic music who seemed to have a very good sense to catch great tunes. Until a certain point. I remember his BBC Essential mix from summer 2001 which was absolutely stunning but after that his preferences and mine went to different directions. But I digress. This compilations has so many stunning tunes blessed with smooth mixing. It could have been so that this was the first record that I was introduced to the names like Carl Craig, David Alvarado, and Trevor Rockcliffe, and many more. Damn, this is so smooth, elusive, and intense compilation at the same time. At the time Muzik freebies were a thing for me but this one is really special and still sounds great no matter what year it is.
