Ordered this from the US last week after a few months of searching. This is an interesting DVD that has interviews with some of the pioneers of the Chicago House scene. It concentrates on the very early years with the transtition from disco as well as the importance of Frankie Knuckles at the Warehouse and Ron Hardy at the Music Box. There are also numerous interviews with early House music fans who visited the Warehouse and Music Box, and interviews with house legends such as Frankie Knuckles, Steve Hurley, Joe Smooth and Jesse Saunders.

I have read up a fair bit on the histroy of dance music but this DVD definitely opened my eyes to the influence of individuals on House music that I was not previously aware of (Andre Hatchett, Wayne Williams).

With any 'history of' production there are always going to be pieces missing depending on who you talk to. In my opinion it would have been nice to hear a few more stories behind some of the classic tracks and maybe a bit about the labels releasing them (Trax, DJ International etc.).

Despite that, this is well worth seeking out if you are a fan of early house music.
