One of my all time favourite Ceephax albums and it sounds simply stunning on this pressing. I'll forever kick myself for not picking it up on release, but even at today's inflated prices it's worth every penny. Classic chilled Ceephax at his absolute best.

A masterwork--the one that Our Man in Acid will be forever remembered for. Four years on, and Cro Magnox still stands as the most mature, accomplished record of his career. Intimate, moody and flavorful, with melodies that you'll flash on after many a deep night's sleep, no other Ceephax album has felt so strangely alien at first, becoming ever more a comfort thereafter. You think "Mediterranean Acid" was Andy's fun-in-the-sun? This is his dark side of the moon. (Eternally suitable: the artwork.)

Excellent album by Ceephax. Most of the club feeling from United Acid Emirates has gone to a more mental and emotional approach. But this is to unleash a Ceephax's music side which was getting better and better over the years especially with United Acid Emirates too : the exceptional control of harmonies and melodies of his wonderful synths, constantly changing and combining together in perfectly dynamically organised tracks that don't make you believe you're listening to techno music.
Even if i wouldnt have included Newhaven Lights which sounds too much as an United Acid Emirates outtake to me, all the other tracks are superb, especially the long ones like Winterlo, Camelot Science, Transcontinental Power Lines, Cro Magnox and Flight of the Condor. In these tracks you will hear nostalgia, courage, melancholy, joy, and hope. The album sounds like the sleeve looks like : the dying lights of city ruins stemmed from a broken civilisation which technologies have long been forgotten. Sound is globally excellent and loud even for 33RPM. Good round bass.
Major 2013 album indeed, my favourite 2013 and WéMè (all-time) release and major album in my album collection. Must-listen for all electronic music lovers.

With relative ease the best new album I heard so far in 2013. The title track, National Grid and Natural Spectrum are unbelievably good, bordering on the bombastic most of the time.
