Charon "SHCH" CDr

Reverberantly dissonant and introspectively desolate spirals keep on emerging and expanding, while intangibly sneaking, yet sharply ear-tickling fragments continuously percolate. Mesmerizingly diaphanous tinkles are guarded by celestially monochromatic stratums, which inconspicuously transmute into rawly soaring meridians. Strangely reflective and tenebrously intriguing layers juxtapose by relentlessly locomoting beacons. Monolithically droning vertexes are exquisitely illuminated by glimpsing piano narrations, solitarily glimmering signals and evanescently gossamer splinters. Ambiguously colored solitudes commingle with bizarrely galloping patterns and fleetingly ascending transmissions. Enigmatically transporting beats bridge with sinuously immense sheets. Weirdly cadenced hypnotic climaxes interact with vivaciously galvanizing vibrations. Luxuriantly flavored, yet distinguishingly focused and poignantly rewarding listening experience!!!

This 58-minute CDr album landed unexpectedly on my radar 17 years after its initial release!!! Although one year has passed since, I still have no idea how could I miss such immersing gem, more especially if Charon is based in my home city (now acting as Charon ME)... Huge shame on me, but fortunately there is no "Best before" on this masterwork!!! Released on May 16th, 2002 through Slovak label Slnko Records, the physical edition is sold out for longer time, but you can always explore digital edition of "SHCH". The artwork, printed on vellum paper, features a drawing "la aldea flotante" by Tay Bak Koi, while the sleeve is designed by Šina. Regarding to Slovak ambient scene, this is undoubtedly a truly visionary album carved by a gifted artist, one of the best and most exceptional recordings ever created and released in my country. Bravo, Lukáš!!!
