Handset is KILLER electronic Techno/Elecrtro as good as Aphex Twin (Easily) and Handset has to be heard to be believed. Stellar release. It's a travesty of electronic justice that this landmark release sits here with absolutely NO comments.

Tucked away on the Freedag Nuveaux GPR sub-label is this absolute gem. Crediting Beaumont Hannant and RAC with thanks on the cover can only be a good thing, and the album doesn't disappoint. In fact it shines brightly with some very danceable rhythms and beats right from the get-go.

In classic IDM mode, it's got it's fair share of downtempo 'serious' moments, which are expertly crafted and handled beautifully, and the cd ebbs and flows serenely as the lush soundscapes float by... There's highlights a plenty, Internot & Handset being just two but the quality and consistency on display here will give you have a warm glow inside.

If you like RAC's Diversions or their equally sublime Structures album, then this is in a similar vein. Head nodding, smile inducing 'proper' techno.

The only drawback is the rarity and exclusivity of this release. Not easy to find, but do try the usual sources to track it down. You will NOT be disappointed....

In terms of label quality for Freedag Nuveaux, I reckon it's:

CD's Released 2
CD's Scored 2

N'uff said....A magnificent album
