Back in the early 80s the Animated Japan Series "Captain Future" was shown on (West-)German TV. At a time where we had only 3 TV Channels the Series made an Impact on every child who watched it and it began to be a part of our pop culture. The show was badly cut from the original material and they made the best thing they could ever do. A completely new Soundtrack. This Soundtrack is still one of the Best pieces of Electronic Music of the 80s. A mixture a groovy rockin 70s Style disco sound with a stitch of 80s electronic Beat. Simply Cool. If you put the Future Soundtrack right between the Kraftwerk CDs it will be absolutely ok. Some may heard the Clubsound-Hit "The Final" from Phil Fuldner a few years ago. That was a song adapted from that show. Ask any German DJ if he knows "Captain Future" and he will become glowing eyes like a five-year-old-child on Christmas Eve. Those were the days.
