Was just playing this on vinyl and wanted to look it up on here. Awesome!!. Second track on (what appears to be) A-Side is so rediculously fabulous. Only four tracks on my copy though. Not misc 9 - 16. Apparently I'm missing the other disc. I just put on Defenders of the Ghetto so.. later.

It is a shame Morgenstern didn't get the props he deserved when he was alive, and he still isn't getting it. He was a brilliant producer, way ahead of his time. I'm pulling out tracks he did as early as 97 and I'm still blown away. It's only now that this genre has become popular. Too bad he wasn't around to become a superstar. An absolute genius, still an undiscovered gem. This album is no exception. There are two tracks that really do it for me here. Unfortunately they are all untitled so I can't say which they are, but my favorite work of his was the Gem Club EP on Kanzleramt. Sick sounds.

As far as I can make out, Morgenstern is a very under-rated producer. This release covers a very wide array of deep, atmospheric dance music, from slow, downtempo numbers to harder, more dense dancefloor material. Each track has it's own unique quirk, and the assured production skills on offer are very impressive. Definately check his stuff out.
