Through many experimental projects, and a tireless work in improvisation, this two musicians have developed a striking and singular personality, both in composition and improvisation.
Here is the result of the work developed in the Cirque Trottola, during the creation and performing of the show called Volchok. Bastien PELENC and Thomas BARRIERE, both composers and actors in this show, offer here the result of a work that has matured for over 3 years. 3 years of performances, life on the road and touring. Volchok is glaring proof of the total control of their art from each individual of this team.
From the beginning, the two musicians are opening the door of a world of sounds, full of detail and subtleties, and we never tired of getting lost in the depth of field.
Beauty in stress, the sound processing of this show takes us to the border of threatening delicate asperities, and described us some strange landscapes, tragic and beautiful.
Always on the wire and in movement, poetic, funny, tender and sometimes harsh but always deeply incarnated, the duo perpetually keeps its music in high will and dexterity. But it is especially fun to play this show together that you can feel in the listening of this disc.
