One of my favorite albums, and one which has helped me through many dark times.
I was a fan after their first LP, but this one made me a fan for life, and it is always a real treat to hear them play these songs live!

This is one of the first cd's I bought back in 87'. I paid $25 for it and I would gladly pay it again - probably more. Still one of my favorite records of all time.

As many people, I think this is their best work ever ! Despite catchy melodies, it is a beautiful introspective and experimental album. No deep depression but an overall dreamy feeling of uncatchable melancholy where cold wave elements meet beautiful and fascinating soundscape designs and where moving shadows seem to let appear slight rays of light. Listening to this album is quite like watching the moving reflection of sunlight from deep underneath the surface of the sea...
It is a subtile album, as filled with light as it is with darkness, as pop and catchy as it is experimental and deeply emotionnal.
But I don't blame the band for having moved towards new musical horizons afterwards and they have reached great artistic achievements since then. Better that than making again and again the same record.
*I'm french by the way so sorry if my english is not perfect, I just hope it is understandable*

No duplicates. There is the original version without barcode. There is a second edition with barcode printed on the backside (5014436613029). And there is a third edition printed in France (MPO). I also have a fourth edition, printed in France, but the matrix says CAD 613 CD MPO 03 (the listed one says MPO 01).

Are we sure that there are no duplicates in those 3 CAD 613 CD released in UK in 1986? I see no obvious difference between them.
