Decent 1962 (i.e., pre-"rhinestone cowboy" era) collection of 2-minute instrumental versions of hits in the then-relatively-new "country" genre, by some top Nashville session musicians, including some who went on to bigger things, such as Jerry Reed. Interesting liner notes places the rise of country in some perspective. Serves as a cool "country karaoke" album while also documenting a bygone "authentic" Nashville sound.
