I recently upgraded my cart and tried playing albums that had horrible "Ssssssibilance" to see if anything changed. This record immediately came to mind... The sound quality improved by a lot, however the last song on side A suffered a little. This version certainly won't knock your socks off, but it's a decent pressing. It's Coldplay after all lol.

Clean heavy flat record with a lot of surface noise. No tape hiss on track A3 so probably a digital sourced master. This pressing can sound good if you DO NOT listen to any other pressing. It is not dynamic and there is a lot of saturation.

Not very dynamic at all. Very flat! Even the CD captures a much fuller, warmer, rich and detailed sound.

You guys must either be playing this album on a Crosley or have a bad setup, because this album sounds quite good to me; open and acoustically lush. The only problem I notice is sibilance on certain "S"s, most notably "Spies". However, I don't mind this, as it often shows the analog nature of the recording.

This pressing sounds so bad that we could probably open up a class action lawsuit. I have the rainbow pressing. It's so bad that I can't even bare to play it.

I thought these comments were kind of funny but I finally opened up my copy that had been sitting sealed for years.

First thing I noticed was dirty fingerprints and other white specks on the vinyl.

I used my VPI 16.5 and cleaned it but it still did not remove the slight "clicks and pops" that were evident on the intro to the side 2 song Trouble.

There was no "surface noise" on the main hit Yellow, but I was still disappointed in the quality of this release.

Every Coldplay pressing I have sounds like crap. This one may be the best of them all but still sounds so compressed and mp3'ish. A shame because the tracks are so good.

This pressing is horrid.

Great Album but don't buy this re-released Long Play.
This version has sound problem (saturation) on several songs.
