"Trapped" is not yet Garage House as claimed in the Style category. It's perhaps the one track which early Chicago House producers emulated mostly when the genre began to take shape. It's producer Richard Burgess wasn't a part of the Chicago producer/dj scene and it came out directly on the major label MCA. Call it Pre-House or Proto-House but it ain't Garage House.

This beautiful track of early house sounds with a soul feeling it's very enjoyable. The drum lines seems like if Stock Aitken & Waterman was programming the track in your hits factory (with the recognizable "carrousel pop" of the late 80's) R.I.P. Colonel.

Great song! Very catchy. '80s AF. Only took off one song because the outro thing was a bit too long and not that enjoyable. Good quality vinyl with low surface noise. I only found it because Boards of Canada had a cover of it on one of their mix tapes. They probably got the A Capella from one of these records! Not sure if this release came with a picture sleeve; got mine second hand in just a generic cardboard sleeve.

This is Proto-House track that came out in 1985. It could easily fit into an early House set and it was played at clubs such as the Hacienda. It could also be classed as a Soul classic. Either way it's just brilliant Black vocal Dance music of the highest order.
