Reissue of one of the classic Congo Natty tunes. Basically features an MC (Top Cat I think) waxing lyrical about the joys of what Lee Perry would call “His Majesty’s herbs” over the typewriter-sounding break that was on loads of d ‘n’ b records (“Renegade Snares”, “Fire”, David Bowie etc. etc.) back in the day, plus the usual bleeping and weebling noises associated with ragga jungle. Then in the middle there’s a sample of what sounds like a Rastafarian stand-up comedy routine (“Dem search the car, an’ dem find the ganja…”) and the hook that everyone knows and loves. Personally I don’t think the police would find much marijuana from a helicopter. I mean they wouldn’t be able to smell it, making an arrest would mean finding a helipad, to say nothing of the fact that drug users and law-abiding citizens alike would probably look like ants when viewed from such a conveyance. The other side is kind of a joyous stew of ragga-jungle and reggae records and has lots of references to their other tunes. I actually like it better than the a-side but I think the mob have other ideas.
