This cassette (recorded onto a cheap consumer gradeTDK normal bias tape) is almost strictly machine rhythms and textures churned out as burbles, scrapes and bubbles, with few melodic or harmonic elements. The album fills up one side of the cassette, with most of the tracks blended together. At first it almost resembles a kinder and gentler Pan Sonic, with primitive, relentless electro beats and abrasive sounds, but as the tape progresses there are unexpected turns into stripped down dub reggae and downtempo rhythms followed by a mutant acid that brings to mind early Aphex Twin and o9. Very different from the melancholy ambience of the Control Panel 12" on Hereforeveralways and light years from His Name Is Alive, the Technological LP is a unique (if unspectacular) document.
