If you blot out sense and sound, what do you hear?
If you blot out time and matter, what do you hear?
From macrocosm to microcosm, what do you hear?

As we come closer to the magic structure, the images fade away...
Only one means remains for approaching it more closely...sound...

Create 2 is a perfect execution in long-form weirdo minimalist/psychedelic/ambient/drone techno. "Om" is the transcendental centerpiece of this release, and, I would argue, the primary track that elevates the album to genius-level status. If you've ever been affected by electronic music in general, this is a song that you ought to check out immediately. Overall the entire CD is a trip -- great cosmic, urban atmospheric music for floating through the city, as previous astute reviewers have pointed out, with an ideal walking beat that reveals itself to only the most patient of souls. And in my humble opinion, the cheap-looking, off-putting mid-'90s cover art only adds to Create 2's fun mystique and brilliance. Please hear it.

I concur, this album is an incredible journey from the city to the stars and then back. Easily one of the best Fax releases, very engaging and yet challenging and complex.

I agree totally with the previous review. I bought this upon release and was totally underwhelmed. Soon however it clicked with me and went on to become a Fax favorite. Not only is it great urban atmospheric music, but quite cosmic in a sense as well. My only complaint is the awful cover artwork. Doesn't do justice to the music and simply one of Fax's worst sleeve designs!

This is a perfect urban soundtrack, every sample used makes me think of subways or gloomy streets at night. I dunno what the intention was with the boring beats but they add to the atmosphere too. One of the best FAX releases.
